Wandies started the match well pushing back the Heriot's, which resulted in Logan Thom's work forcing a penalty try decision from the referee after an illegal challenge to stop a probable score.

The Wanderers forwards had piled on the pressure in the scrums and two more tries came from Goldie and D. Clark.

As Wandies were driving for the bonus point try making good use of the dominating scrum before a front row injury for Heriot's force uncontested scrums.

Without the forward momentum of the scrum Wandies flattened and allowed Heriot's to use their pacey backs and get back into the game.

The bonus point try game from McLaren's break through the Heriot's defensive line, selling a dummy or two before placing the ball down. Not bad for his first touch of the ball.
