Please enjoy our Cashback Community Rugby Mashup Digital Case Study.
The Cashback Community Rugby Mashup took place over 8 weeks at Roseburn Park with all ages and abilities welcomed to enjoy a range of activities including:
-Minis Rugby Training
-Touch Rugby
-Fitness with PT Kari Spence
-BBQ and socialising
The Cashback Community Rugby Mashup programme had two main aims: the first being an opportunity for community revival with a focus on health and wellbeing through a fun, family orientated programme. Secondly, to provide referred individuals with a structured programme that will make them feel part of the community through a positive experience with the MWFC and the local community.
75 people on average attended our 8 week programme of which 10 were referrals from partner schools and organisations. It was fantastic to see the melting pot of nationalities come together at Roseburn Park, we counted at least 8 including British, Irish, Polish, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Chinese, Japanese.
The Wandies Academy/Cashback School of Rugby pupils and the referred individuals made a great presence during the programme involving themselves with all aspects of the programme: including helping out with Minis training, playing touch rugby (the younger boys were in full praise and awe of the skill of the 'older boys'), putting the graft in during the Kari fitness sessions and enjoying some good food and company at the end.
We want to thank every single person who contributed to the Cashback Community Rugby Mashup with their, presence, energy and volunteer hours and in doing so making the event such a resounding success and a pleasure to be a part of. Many thanks go to our partner Cashback for Communities for making this programme possible.
